Dark horse presidential candidate and multimedia artist, Victor-Hugo Vaca Jr., has filed a complaint against the law firm of Conde & Cohen, P.L. (cases 2007-50,379(15E), 2007-50,519(15E)), citing an alleged conflict of interest regarding his lawyer Aaron R. Cohen, who moved in to his property without permission and without a lease in the midst of several trials underway for the artist.
Among other elements detailed in the complaints, according to Vaca, Cohen divulged information regarding a so-called "legal mafia" which exists in the United States, while sitting in Vaca's living room. Vaca says that Cohen explained to him how the current justice system in the United States essentially goes unchecked and seems to have no boundaries. He told Vaca how judges and lawyers agree that law and justice in the United States are not one and the same.
Two separate Florida Bar complaints were filed under the leadership of Henry Coxe III (cases 2007-50,379(15E), 2007-50,519(15E)), so that the information provided would become public record for journalists and government officials wishing to verify facts. The veil of secrecy, says Vaca, surrounding the investigation and whether any alleged conflict of interest existed between the attorney for Aaron R. Cohen and Alexander Conde, Donald A. Wich Jr., former Broward County Florida Bar President, and the members of the investigative committee is reminiscent of a Tom Clancy spy novel.
The Florida Bar under the direction of Henry Coxe III refused to comment on how the investigation was conducted, citing confidentiality.
Additional information and specifics regarding the complaints are a matter of public record and may be reviewed by interested parties.
The artist documented the information divulged by his tenant/attorney in his diary-on-canvas modern art graphic novel entitled "Capicua 3-1-3: The Long Arm of the Law". Publishers and producers are being considered for hardcover publication and theatrical release of the controversial parody of the U.S. legal system highlighted in the http://www.victorhugogallery.com website and blog.
The contentious chapter in Victor-Hugo's popular parody entitled "Crackhead Jesus and the Jewish Attorney" is based on actual characters and events which led to the Florida Bar investigation. The artist/entrepreneur is using music, modern art, and humor to raise awareness about U.S. legal controversies like the Alberto Gonzales case and the Scooter Libby trial.
He says he hopes his work will strengthen the U.S. justice system by forcing those in power to take a closer look at the problems which threaten to undermine the Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution.
