Art Basel nightlife
Miami restaurants, bars and clubs feel Art Basel ripple-effect
By Rochelle Oliver, Metromix
I've always said that Florida has only two seasons: tourist season and hurricane season. But quite possibly, there's another time of the year creeping in, making itself known with all the ferocity of its predecessors—Art Basel. The four-day season attracts some of the biggest names in the art world and the art–enthused follow in tow.
And while thousands flocking to Miami is nothing new, this time, all the efforts are in the name of Art. From the drinking, to the eating and even the late-night dancing, Art Basel becomes the center of attention. Take a look at some of the nightlife events happening in the city of sin and sex.
The Art Basel Guide will show you what events are going on and where.

During Art Basel kickoff the venue is showcasing three artists' works: Impressionistic and abstract artist, Carl Latty; neo-surrealist, structured abstractionist, Christa Subi; and Maximo Caminero, an artist whose works portray the darker side of human emotion.
